About the Achill Half Marathon

The Elverys Sports Achill Half Marathon & 10K race takes place on Saturday 6th July 2013 (half-marathon starts at 10.30am, 10K run starts at 11am) and is organised by Achill Event Management in association with Achill Tourism, the local tourist office on Achill Island, Co. Mayo, in the west of Ireland.
The event, in its current format, has been staged in Achill since 2007 and is approved by Athletics Ireland.
The Half Marathon race is the centrepiece to a full weekend of events and entertainment on Achill, one of Ireland's most popular holiday destinations.
The Achill Tourism website contains detailed listings of accommodation on Achill Island as well as listings of restaurants, cafes, bars and other places to eat in Achill. Their website also offers detailed maps and travel information on how to get to Achill and how to get around on the island.
